Panthers Recap

This past Sunday the Carolina Panthers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-21 avenging the playoff loss last year to the Cardinals. The Panthers forced 6 turnovers against the Cardinals and 5 were INT's. The defense looked very strong putting pressure on the Cards all day and Kurt Warner must still be having nightmares about Julius Peppers. Peppers had multiple pressures 1 sack and 1 interception for a touchdown. The Panthers offense was lead by a strong running attack with Stewart and Williams rushing for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns combined. Jake Delhomme had a pedestrian game throwing 7 of 14 for 90 yards and 1 touchdown. The bright spot is Delhomme didn't throw any picks. I feel the Panthers need to make a change at the quarterback position but head coach John Fox is set in his ways and will not make a change. Matt Moore got a few snaps when Jake went down with a injury but was never really given a chance to show what he could do. They only allowed him to throw the ball 1 time and hand off at least 8 times. The Panthers will face the New Orleans Saints this Sunday in a important division game. The Saints are undefeated and look very strong. I am going to make a bold statement. I guarantee the Panthers will defeat the Saints. The Panthers defense looks very impressive and the running game is hitting on all cylinders. The passing game is pretty weak but the Panthers are going to only ask Delhomme to manage the game and I think he will be able to do that. Almost every analyst gives the Panthers no chance to win and are over looking them as the team to knock off the Saints and the Saints may do the same as well. If that is the case and they are looking ahead on the schedule it will be a long day for the Saints. Stay tuned for more Panthers information and I will post any major injuries if they come up.
